Hammond Report February 17 2022 From Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Daily Music and Stories from Jon Hammond the organ player & accordionist, today's
music story is about how I wrote my original tune "Lydia's Tune" and we are playing a special session here that I recorded on my Nakamichi 550 field recorder in the
Ellington Room - Musicians: Chuggy Carter Leslie J. Carter, Ray Grappone, Joe Berger, Todd Anderson and yours truly Jon Hammond at my 1959 Hammond B3
organ. I flew to Paris on the Air France Concorde jet cruising at Mach II, 59,000 feet altitude. It took 3 hours and 26 minutes from JFK to CDG airport. My first trip
overseas in 1981. I was 28 years old and I looked kind of French, but that doesn't mean I could speak the language - I stayed over for 56 days, this is some of the music I
wrote while I was in Paris. 10 years later I returned to live there for an entire year and played this song in concert on Radio France Inter - have a beautiful Thursday
everybody,
