about the Savoy Lounge in Hell's Kitchen across the street from Port Authority Bus

truly Jon Hammond at the B3 organ - original composition "Hip Hop Chitlins" - this place was right next door to Carroll Piano & Organ rental and rehearsal studios, so a lot of musicians would
come in. Bernard Purdie walked in, Joe Berger was there and sat
in later on. It was a very lively scene, but there is almost nothing about the Savoy Lounge on the internet, it was run by my old deceased friend Bobby from Rudy's Bar & Grill. I found
one item about it in a site called The Bar Graveyard. As I was watching Rep. John Lewis respectfully
arriving to lie in state on the TV. RIP Congressman John Lewis!
